A number of students, some of whom we have been supporting during their primary and secondary education, have completed their general schooling and have reached the point when they need assistance for their professional education, and, in some cases vocational training, which would allow them to become financially self-sufficient, and possibly support their families. This level of education is usually significantly more expensive. This is resulting in additional fund-raising challenges. Luckily, the friends of Watu kwa Watu, especially in Germany, Poland and USA have been able and willing to provide the needed support.
Among those supported during the last year are: one Architectural student, four students in Financial Management, Banking and Accounting, one in Real Estate Management and Finance, one in Aquatic Sciences and Fisheries Management, two in Medical Records Management, four in Nursing, one as Nursing Aid, one in Medical Laboratory work, four in Electrical Engineering and Installations, three in Education Sciences, one in Internet and Computer Technologies, one in Catering, and one in Tailoring.
Below there are photos of some of the students mentioned above.
