Expanding network of sponsors of assistance to education costs, and other essential costs of very poor children and youth

Posted on March 5, 2020 by tsudra in Assistance to very poor students

During the last two years, since our last posting on this webpage, the number of assisted individual children and young persons did grow to about 35. The most important sponsors come from Germany and Poland. We have also generous sponsors in Switzerland, Sweden, the USA, and other countries. Sponsor groups also organize fundraising events. Studies of James, from Nairobi, at United States International University have been funded by income from several concerts given by a group of musicians in Warsaw, Poland, reported earlies on this webpage. James, the beneficiary, now a professional, has in fact become last year a new sponsor, see note below. The most recent fundraising event, see 3 photos below, also took place in Warsaw, to fund the cost of studies of another orphan young man, this time from western Kenya.

In a wonderful new development, two young Kenyans, until recent recipients of Watu Kwa Watu assistance, which has enabled them to finish studies and get professional jobs, have now volunteered to make monthly contributions toward the costs of education of new applicants for Watu Kwa Watu assistance.
