New School University team from New York City  has visited Starkid School and Rescue Centre in Githogoro Slum in Nairobi on 11 and 12 April in preparation to the joint Workshop with the Starkid teachers. The team has visited the facilities, interacted with teachers and students, provided assistance in starting to digitize the financial management information, and conducted the measurement of the weight and height of the students as an input into evaluation of the impact of the feeding program. ACH, a partner of Watu Kwa Watu and of the New School University is funding the feeding for the Rescue Centre (orphanage) children, while the CIC is funding the lunches on the school days.
