DRAW YOUR DREAMS program, now in its third year continues to be funded by the Art Charity of an architect and artist Dinesh Doshi from the New York City, USA, with management support from the African Children Haven in Galveston, Texas, USA. Dinesh’es foundation pays for all the needed supplies, paying directly to the wholesale suppliers in Kenya. Watu Kwa Watu delivers the supplies, provides the the briefings to the management and relevant teachers in the schools, monitors progress and sends feedback to the sponsor. The local costs, such as travel, accomodation, communications etc are the personal contribution of the Watu Kwa Watu Trustees. At the time of this writing, DRAW YOUR DREAMS in covering 13 schools and Children Cancer Ward in one major hospital, in sum 14 sub-projects. 8 of the schools are serving slum children in Nairobi Area and 5 are poor rural schools on the Lake Victoria region in Western Kenya.
