March 20, 2014 African Children’s Haven, a foundation in Galveston, Texas, USA, has assisted, through Watu Kwa Watu, the Starkid School and Rescue Center, in Githogoro slum in Nairobi, Kenya, purchasing an energy-saving jiko, two 15 liter stainless steel pots and two solar lamps, primarily for the use by the Rescue Center children.
